ASGCA Annual Meetings have a storied history dating back to December of 1947 in Pinehurst, N.C. Since that time, the ASGCA Annual Meeting has grown to become the signature event for interaction, innovation and education relating to golf course architecture in the United States. ASGCA Annual Meetings are always selected within close proximity to the world's greatest golf courses. As such, ASGCA members are able to learn more about the game's history and continued evolution by visiting and playing some of the best courses the game has to offer.
ASGCA combines those golfing experiences with informational seminars and social engagements to form a truly unique atmosphere that makes for both an enjoyable and educational meeting experience. The camaraderie and fellowship among members is special and a large reason why ASGCA members point to the Annual Meeting as one of the most important benefits of belonging to ASGCA.
In addition to the golf, business and educational meetings, ASGCA members also gather at the Annual Meeting for the official presentation of the Donald Ross Award, ASGCA's highest honor, given annually to an individual who has made significant and lasting contributions to the profession of golf course architecture. First awarded in 1976 to golf architecture pioneer Robert Trent Jones, the honor is recognized as one of the most prestigious in the golf world.
