Bill Love has more 20 years of experience in the field of golf course architecture and has worked on more 100 projects throughout North America and abroad, involving the design, master planning and renovation of all types of golf facilities — both public and private. Bill has served as an officer and member of the ASGCA Executive Committee. Actively involved with environmental issues related to the development and maintenance of golf courses, he has been the Chairman of the Society's Environmental committee for over a decade and a long-standing member of the Steering Committee for the National Golf and Environment Initiative. He authored "An Environmental Approach to Golf Course Development" for ASGCA and participated in the production of numerous other publications, such as the "Environmental Principles for Golf Courses in the United States." As well as teaching a course on golf course design at the University of Maryland, Bill is also a frequent lecturer on golf and the environment, golf course development, master planning and renovation at other universities and golf-related venues. His educational background includes a graduate degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, undergraduate degrees in Architecture from the Catholic University of America, and Design from Prince George's College. In addition to being a qualified golf course architect, Bill is a registered landscape architect and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Golf and the Environment Consortium, Mid-Atlantic Golf Course Superintendents Association, Greater Washington Golf Course Superintendents, National Golf Foundation, Urban Land Institute and United States Golf Association.
