Four Elected Regular Members
by American Society of Golf Course Architects
Four Associate members successfully completed all requirements and were elected Regular members of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) at the organization’s recent Annual Meeting in Pebble Beach, Calif.
Attaining full membership in ASGCA were: Gregory Letsche (North Palm Beach, Fla.), George Sargent (Franklin, N.H.), Dan Schlegel (Edgewater, Md.) and Chris Wilczynski (Toledo, Ohio).

Chris Wilczynski — A senior design associate with Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates of Toledo, Ohio, Wilczynski’s recent work includes Stoneybrook Heritage in Bradenton, Fla. and Ironbridge Golf Club in Glenwood Springs, Colo. Regular membership in ASGCA is earned after a member has been an Associate member in good standing for at least three years and has designed and seen through to opening two additional 18-hole golf course equivalents. |

His recent designs include Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes, N.J., a nine-hole addition to Gordon Lakes Golf Course in Fort Gordon, Ga. and the nine-hole The Cardinal Golf Club in Fort Lee, Va. |

Candidates for Associate Membership in ASGCA complete a
rigorous, multi-phase application process that includes
peer review of four completed courses, discussions with
project owners and a personal interview to assess the candidate’s
professional capabilities. This process typically takes
two years for an applicant to complete.

ASGCA Background
Founded in 1946 by 14 leading architects, including Donald
Ross and Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the American Society of
Golf Course Architects is a non-profit organization comprised
of 180 golf course designers located throughout the United
States and Canada. Members are actively involved in the design
of new courses, the renovation of existing layouts, and issues
affecting the future of the game.
